RentMyStudio ("we", "us", "our") operates the RentMyStudio mobile app and website. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
1. Information we collect
- Account: Phone number (for OTP login), display name, and profile photo if you add one.
- Studio listings (owners): Studio name, description, photos, address, pricing, amenities, and contact details you provide.
- Usage: App interactions such as views, calls, favourites, and reviews.
- Device: Push notification tokens, device type, and general app diagnostics.
- Payments (owners): Payment is processed by Razorpay. We store plan status and transaction references — not your full card or UPI details.
- Location: Approximate location only when you allow it, to show nearby studios.
2. How we use information
- Authenticate you and manage your account
- Display and moderate studio listings
- Enable renters to call studio owners to book
- Process owner subscription payments
- Send OTPs, notifications, and support responses
- Improve app performance and prevent abuse
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:
- Service providers: Firebase (auth, database, hosting, notifications), Razorpay (payments), and SMS providers for OTP delivery.
- Other users: Public studio listing details and reviews you post are visible to app users.
- Legal: When required by law or to protect rights and safety.
4. Data retention
We keep account and listing data while your account is active. When an owner plan expires, listings are paused but data is retained so you can renew. You may request deletion of your account data by emailing us.
5. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections and Firebase security rules. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your profile information in the app. For other requests (data export, account deletion), contact us at rentstudios9@gmail.com.
7. Children
RentMyStudio is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
